Although our organisation does not make appeals for funds from the general public, those who wish to help are welcome.
You are welcome to come and visit our Centre – if you can get to Rodrigues.
It’s a long way from nowhere – but is connected by Air (and sea) from Mauritius.
Most of our visitors make a donation when they visit – either in kind or a gift of money.
All donations are acknowledged with an official receipt and a thank you card from the children.
All letters are answered personally.
Where does your donation go?
As the majority of our pupils come from families with no regular income, even the smallest of donations allows us to help them with their everyday requirements, e.g. batteries for their hearing aids, clothing, and lunch, as well as the more expensive necessities of spectacles and hearing aids. The Centre is totally financed by donations and grants.
All the services of the Centre are provided free of charge, but we do ask parents to try to make a minimum contribution to the children’s lunch, which is cooked daily on the premises.
Mostly our running costs are met from Grants from International Charitable organisations. All the equipment, books and stationary is financed by private donation, given either to one individual child, for a specific project, or to the Centre as a whole.
